Burn Survivor Personal Training Program (SA)

The Studio Trainer is a boutique personal fitness centre, east of Adelaide. The studio is run by professional personal trainer and Karate Black Belt, Eliza Richards and hosts the latest equipment and qualified personal trainers.

Offering expert advice and tailored instruction, The Studio Trainer is well equipped to handle the requirements of burn survivors. In 2015, they partnered with the Julian Burton Burns Trust to offer personal training sessions for those who have sustained signifcant burn injuries.

Burn survivor personal training sessions are offered out of The Studio Trainer, Royston Park, SA.  Up to ten (10) free 45 minute personal training sessions are available for burn survivors. Tailored, individual programs are developed in consultation with an appointed personal trainer.

1. REMOVE
Remove any clothing and jewellery from the affected area to allow effective cooling of the burn.
2. COOL
Cool the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes - this will stop the burning process and also help ease the pain.
3. COVER
Cover the burn with a clean lint free cloth or if it is a large area, cover loosely with cling wrap to lessen the chance of infection.
4. SEEK
Seek medical advice if the burn is larger than a 20 cent piece or on the face, hands, feet or groin area.
