Campaign to Reduce Workplace Injury

Thanks to the support of WorkCoverSA, InterContinental Adelaide and Coopers Brewery the Julian Burton Burns Trust launched a Commercial Kitchens Campaign at Shiki Restaurant with 50 Burns Trust Club members and guests. Guests were entertained and fed by some of Adelaide's top chefs from around Adelaide, while learning tips on preventing burn injury.

As a result of the campaign, an education pack was distributed to restaurants, cafes and take-away shops and was rolled out in the Onkaparinga Council area. Eligible businesses received a free burns first aid kit, the first TGA approved kit within Australia; developed by the Julian Burton Burns Trust, St John Ambulance Australia and A/Prof John Greenwood.
