These terms and conditions apply to your use of the Site. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you should cease using the Site.

We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions from time to time. The amendments will take effect immediately upon publication on the Site. “the Site” is a reference to this website, located at www.burnstrust.com.au, as amended or replaced from time to time; Style Guide” means the Burns Trust style guide located at www.burnstrust.com.au, as amended or replaced from time to time; and

“we”, “us” or “our” is a reference to Julian Burton Burns Trust ABN 81 889 597 895.

Disclaimer

We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect and however caused (including through negligence) that you may suffer in connection with your use of the Site or any linked website. Nor do we accept responsibility for any such loss suffered as a result of your use of or reliance on any information contained on or accessed via the Site. However, this disclaimer does not extend to any liability imposed by law, to the extent that such liability cannot be lawfully limited or excluded.

Specific Warnings

You must ensure that your use of the Site is not illegal or prohibited by laws which apply to you.

Trade Marks

“Julian Burton Burns Trust” and the Burns Trust Logo are trade marks belonging to Julian Burton Burns Trust Australia Pty Ltd. Other trade marks may also be used on the Site. Nothing on the Site shall be construed as granting any licence or right of use of any trade mark or part of any trade mark displayed on the Site without the express written permission of the Julian Burton Burns Trust or the trade mark owner.

If you are granted written permission from us to use our trade marks (whether registered or unregistered) in reference to our activities, products or services, you must include a statement attributing that trade mark to us. You must not use any of our trade marks:

(a) in or as the whole or part of your own trade marks;

(b) in connection with activities, products or services which are not ours;

(c) in a manner which may be confusing, misleading or deceptive; or

(d) in a manner that disparages us or our information, products or services (including the Site).

In addition to the above, if you receive written approval from us to use the Burns Trust Logo, the Burns Trust Logo may be reproduced by you only in strict accordance with the Style Guide. Any use of the Burns Trust Logo must be viewed and approved by us in advance of its use. You must email a complete and final copy of your intended usage of the Burns Trust Logo to us at admin@burnstrust.com.au. The Style Guide must be followed to ensure the accurate reproduction and consistent application of the Burns Trust Logo and to maintain the integrity of the design of the Burns Trust Logo. The designs of the Burns Trust Logo in the Style Guide are the only approved versions and designs and no other versions or designs may be used.

Restricted Use

Unless we provide you with our written consent to the contrary, you are provided with access to the Site for your personal use only. You are authorised to print a copy of any information contained on the Site for your personal, non-commercial or educational use, unless such printing is expressly prohibited. You may not on-sell information obtained from the Site.

Linked Websites

The Site contains links to other websites. The links are provided for convenience only and we do not warrant that the links remain current or that they are maintained. We accept no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of the linked websites; they are the responsibility of the owners of the linked websites and we have no control over them.

1. REMOVE
Remove any clothing and jewellery from the affected area to allow effective cooling of the burn.
2. COOL
Cool the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes - this will stop the burning process and also help ease the pain.
3. COVER
Cover the burn with a clean lint free cloth or if it is a large area, cover loosely with cling wrap to lessen the chance of infection.
4. SEEK
Seek medical advice if the burn is larger than a 20 cent piece or on the face, hands, feet or groin area.
