Working in Collaboration Across the Country

The 'Bucks for Burns' campaign, started by Schneider Electric and the Julian Burton Burns Trust continues to be a flagship program within our Care strategy. Our alignment with Clipsal by Schenider Electric and its products in keeping families safe from house fires led to the 'Bucks for Burns' campaign where fifty cents from every Clipsal smoke alarm sold across Australia is allocated to the Julian Burton Burns Trust and the Clipsal Community Grants program.

Our National Community Grants are allocated across Australia and New Zealand to agencies working in the Prevention, Care and Support of burn injuries. This year we have seen an increase in applications and have allocated $102,000 for ten individual programs across five states, and two being facilitated nationally.

A driver for the allocation of grants is to increase communication and collaboration between all 17 hospital burn units and aligned agencies through the sharing of 'at the bedside' research, prevention resources and information dissemination where possible to utilise what is currently available and to maximise resources through collaboration.
