Angela Gardner - Fundraising & Event Manager

 

Originally hailing from the UK, Angela has worked in the events industry for almost 15 years. Over the years she has gained extensive experience on many exclusive events the 2007 G20 summit being just one of many.

She began her Australian career in 2007 at the National Convention Centre in Canberra before moving with her family to Adelaide in early 2010 where she has concentrated her work to the not-for-profit sector.

In her current position Angela will drive our fundraising and events strategy to ensure we continue to raise vital funds for our burns prevention, care and support initiatives.

Outside the office Angela loves spending time with her husband Paul and children Rebecca, Hannah and Oliver while exploring everything South Australia has to offer.

1. REMOVE
Remove any clothing and jewellery from the affected area to allow effective cooling of the burn.
2. COOL
Cool the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes - this will stop the burning process and also help ease the pain.
3. COVER
Cover the burn with a clean lint free cloth or if it is a large area, cover loosely with cling wrap to lessen the chance of infection.
4. SEEK
Seek medical advice if the burn is larger than a 20 cent piece or on the face, hands, feet or groin area.
